On Cedar’s request. Lily and Cedar with his favorite birds. Blue Fairy Wrens and the brown Fairy Wren girls and some babies.
Lydia had an ice-skating 10th birthday party! such a great experience Lily has been longing for, since I told her stories from my childhood ice experiences.
a Family portrait.
Lily has an incredible connection with birds. She talks with the kookaburras each morning and has names for those whose call she recognises. at the river a kookaburra alighted less than a foot away and connected with her for some long moments before returning above us and watching our fireside rest. Lily revealed that morning she had asked the kookaburras to come close to her, when she heard them singing in the dawn. Biscuit, her pet as she crowned the river kookaburra.
the following three illustrations are from summer in Tasmania, we where exploring The Norse Myths for Lily’s main lesson and enjoying the legends and the creation concepts. Lily and her dragon. Yggdrasil tree of creation. The creation of man and woman from an Ash tree and an Elm tree.

I tried to leave this comment probably a couple of weeks ago now but for some reason it wouldn’t let me so I saved it and I’m afraid it’s taken me ages to get back over to try again, sorry for the delay! And hoping it works this time…
I really love Lily’s illustrations, they are all beautiful and full of imagination and I’ve been trying to pick a favourite to put in this comment but I can’t! I might have narrowed it down to the Lily and Cedar feeding the birds, the ice skating, the witches and the ‘couldn’t make them sit still’, but I’m not sure about that even! But my favourite things about the pictures are the faces – all amazing and really make you feel the emotion of the character. Thank you for sharing them, and what a great way to keep a record of them all too.
what a talented little girl! Your mermaids are gorgeous!
Thank you. I will read this reply to her:)
Always enjoying reading your posts. R
I LOVE this idea! I have all of Tamika in a box from when she was little. Would love to document them and Jarvis’s.
Thank you! She has a great sense of pride and I have a record. Today she said when she’s an adult she will have a library of art books.

So many lovely pictures Lily. I really like them a lot. Should I save green bottles I get for your earthship? I’m looking forward to seeing you and your family soon.
